WHAT IS A YOUTH EXCHANGE?
Youth exchanges allow groups of young people from different countries to meet, live together and work on shared projects for short periods. Youth exchanges take place outside the school environment. On a youth exchange, you can expect to participate in activities such as workshops, exercises, debates, role-plays, outdoor activities and more. Participants' learning experiences are recognised through a Youthpass.They are usually of short duration (from six to fifteen days) during which young people, between 13 and 30 years old
COST
The European Commission contributes towards the cost of food, accomodation and of travel by distance: participants can use the way of repaying travel expenses necessary to arrive at its destination.
You can leave or return at different dates than the official dates of the project (the limit is more or less than 2 days before the official date). Any expenses incurred for Board and lodging outside the official dates will not be refunded and remains the responsibility of the participants.
Are refunded tickets to get to the airport from the city in which you reside: all travel tickets (boarding pass, subway, bus or train tickets) should be stored in original and delivered to the host organisation during the project. Instead, return travel documents will be sent by the participants.
The following table represents the example of reimbursable costs related to Erasmus + YE & TC:
