" Demystifying Disability: working towards inclusion"

ABOUT THE PROJECT: "Demystifying Disability: working towards inclusion" is a project that aims to
provide competencies, including knowledge and skills to youth workers, trainers
and other youth professionals in the area of disability and social inclusion,
helping to improve their ability of promoting positive, respectful and inclusive
attitudes and passing important values to young people in order to eliminate
prejudices that may give rise to discriminatory behavior.



.Providing competences, skills, and methods to youth professionals in the area of
social inclusion and disability;
.Deconstructing existing myths and stereotypes in order to help to eliminate
existing prejudices among youth that may give rise to discriminatory attitudes;
.Promoting social inclusion and increasing the commitment to inclusion and
diversity from youth across Europe;
.Enhancing cooperation between organizations, share good practices of activities
and projects and promote Erasmus+ as an inclusive programme.

PARTICIPANTS: The training course will gather 14 participants coming from Austria, Bulgaria,
Italy, Romania and Spain

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:   1 participants (18-29 y.o.) + 1(group leade no age limit) 

● The participants should be youth professionals with little or no experiecience
in the disability field and social inclusion, aged 18+;
● The participants will be required to participate in all the sessions and will be
given daily assignments;
● Participants must have a good level of written and spoken English;


DATES:  12  - 19 June 2019 (12 & 19 Travel days)

LOCATION: Guimarães, Portugal

FINANCIAL DETAILS:The organizers will cover the following costs with the support of the European Commission: 

  • 100% of meals, accommodation, activities costs; 

  • Transport cost up to 275 EUR per participant
